A lazy Sunday day (well, not really)

Ah, yesterday was a good day. I woke up early, made cupcakes, and then drove down to Newark to pick up the new camera I had ordered on Saturday. Then I went over to Andy's house, where I met up with him and Kelly. We talked for about ten minutes, and then bundled ourselves and our stuff into his car to head down to Lancaster for a BBQ that Stacy and JP were hosting at their new place.

We had to make a stop at Wal-Mart first, for me to pick up ice, and Andy and Kelly to get fruit and pop. Well, out of the times of day, and out of all the lanes of a fairly large parking lot, guess who we ended up by? Heh, we get out of the car and see Grace and Thomas just coming back to their car with a cart full of stuff - imagine the odds! We all talked for a little while, and then they left for home and we proceeded into the store.

Well, as we are getting the pop, we run into Moze, someone I haven't seen in a very long time, and a friend of Andy and Kelly. So we talked with him some, and then finally headed out for the BBQ. After a detour and a couple of turnarounds due to missed turns, we arrived. I met a couple of JP's friends, and some of the people there played some badminton while I tried out my new camera. We also watched part of Aladdin (which made Kelly very happy) and played an Xbox game (I think it was called Street Fighter?). I've never played it before, but I did okay; I actually won a few rounds! We also played some Apples to Apples, and just talked about various stuff (we got a lot of mileage out of something Ryo found online, called the Shenis - don't ask).

Well, then we decided we would all drive out to Pickerington to catch a 10pm showing of The Happening. We arrived about twenty minutes late, because of a detour no one knew about, but we only missed the first few minutes of the movie because of the trailers. The movie was okay, not one of M. Night Shyamalan's best. I felt it gave away the twist too early, and I found some of the images disturbing. It wasn't a horrible film, but I have no interest in seeing it again.

After the movie, we walked over to a nearby Steak-n-Shake and grabbed a bite to eat. Then we all departed, making plans to get together in a few more weeks for DragonCon planning. I stayed over at Andy's place, and then came back home in the morning.

It was so nice to just be able to hang out with my friends, some of whom I don't get to see much. Very fun day. :)
