Well, I had the photo shoot with my friend Andy last Saturday. It went really well and we had a lot of fun. It helped immensely that Andy is a born model and needed very little direction. He was very happy with the pictures, and considering I was told he is very picky about his portraits, I feel rather relieved and happy. Here are a few of my favorites:









I also spent most of the weekend with him and Kelly. We watched some anime, and I freaking LOVE Chobits! It's right after Slayers in my favorites list. I'm thinking I might have to buy the series at DragonCon this year.

Still waiting to hear back about the job. *grumble* I called today to see if the temp agency had heard anything, but nothing so far.

Back to photography, I got my logo designed and my business cards done. Now I just need to print off the latter and start distributing them. I have a couple appointments in the works - engagement photos and a wedding - so that is exciting. I might enter a few photos in the County Fair this year too.

Costumes: still not sure if I will be able to swing three new ones for DragonCon. I'll definitely be able to do my Dragonmaster - I have the fabric and trim picked out - just need to go buy them. And my Scottish lass should happen too; I found my tartan for a decent price through a UK eBayer, and I can order the sash and clan brooch from a British website. So I will just need to make the shirt and skirt. I have shoes that will work already, and Grace put me in touch with an artist to do a headpiece. So Tonks is the only one I'm not sure about. Fortunately, most of her costume I can buy, and should be able to buy fairly cheap (t-shirt, boots, driving gloves, and wig on eBay, leggings at Hot Topic, I already have the pants). The cropped hoodie should be very easy to make, so it all comes down to the jacket - the sleeves on that are a bitch (see previous post concerning this costume).

So that is my life at this point.
