Whee! I got a new camera today! It's a Canon Rebel XSi - 12.2 megapixels, and comes with a 18-55mm zoom lens. As a DSLR, it is pretty similar to my film SLR. I also got a nice flash for it (which was 20% off), a 3-year protection plan, a neck strap, and a UV filter. I still need to get a camera bag, and want to get some more filters, and when I have some more money, a telephoto lens. So now I can really start taking some nice professional photos. I want to get a telephoto lens for my film camera too, as well as filter for that, but that will have to wait for a while too. I'll post pictures later in the week.

Ok, I've started drawing up some pricing lists and such for my photography. So if you are in the Central Ohio area, and want some portraits done, shoot me a message. I have both color digital and black & white film available, and will provide a proof CD. As soon as I get my prices determined, I'll get some flyers and try to get a basic website up with the information. I can also do photo retouching and basic slide-shows onto DVD.

I started looking at digital and film SLR cameras and lenses online too; I hope to be able to get more professional cameras soon.

I'm excited about this! More excited than I've been about something in a while. Hope it pans out.
