Costume work is moving right along.  The hoodie for Tonks is DONE!  Now I can move on to the coat mockup, which shouldn't take too long.

Still waiting to hear back about interviews.  If I don't hear anything by lunch tomorrow, I guess I'll be making some phone calls.

Now for the exciting part - costume progress!  Hooray!  I ordered a dragon choker to go with my DM dress.  I also got the buttons for Tonks' necklace - now I just need to paint them.

pascalbijou got my headpiece just about done - we're just waiting on the ribbon to arrive from the UK.  They put a rush order on it for me, so it should be here in a couple of weeks.  Here are pictures she sent me.  Isn't it gorgeous?  It matches the colors of my tartan.

   


And some more work done on the DM dress.  I got the two front side panels interfaced and edgestitched, and attached to the front panel.  I also attached the gold trim along the seams down the front, and attached the first layer of the front yoke.  The next step will be the same process on the back sections, which I hope to complete by Wednesday.  Then it will be finishing the yoke, and attaching the shoulder seams.  I'll probably break from the dress at that point to start on the muslin for Tonks' coat and to get the hoodie done too.  Here are a couple of pictures, showing the front sections and a closeup of the fabrics.

Not a whole lot to report, but some.

Scottish Lass:  I sold some more stuff on ebay, so I was able to transfer enough money to checking to order my brooch tomorrow.  Dug out my pirate shirt and washed it.  Located the shoes I will be wearing.

Tonks: Combat boots came in today and happily, they fit!  Looked over the hoodie pattern - might be picking up the fabric for that tomorrow.  Hope to order the wig tomorrow as well.  Located and washed black pants.

Dragonmaster: Dupioni came in today - hooray!  Such a beautiful fabric.  Going into Joanns tomorrow and praying the rust fabric is on sale - I can't start working on the dress until I have that fabric too.

And Mom will be out-of-state for four days at the beginning of August.  Guess when I'll be getting some serious costume work done?
